A Study for Developing Primary and Secondary Convergence Educational Programs



There is a demand for creative and convergence talents in today’social environment, with growing uncertainties and national priority on implementing creative economy. This has expanded the necessity and application of convergence education aiming to foster creative and convergence talents. However, the widely applied form of convergence education in Korea has been Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics (STEAM) for gifted students, and most cases have been developed with a focus on scientific curriculums, making average schools to lack an overall understanding on the characteristics of creative and convergence talents, the concept of convergence education in schools as well as programs that can be applied for in-class learning.
