A Study on Policy Alternative of School Climate for Violence Prevention

In the effort to end all school violence, education on school violence prevention is more important than any other resolution, recovery or guidance program that typically follows incidents of violence. Above all, the school members, including students, teachers and parents, must be educated substantially on school violence prevention and each school must take every available measure to create a climate for violence prevention with the leadership and support of the principal, awareness of teachers and active participation by students.

This research was conducted during the first year of a three-year research project with the purpose of creating a school climate for violence prevention in every school. The first-year research presents the concept of the climate of school violence; an analysis of the influence of school climate on violence and factors in the creation of a school climate for violence prevention; a theoretical foundation for development and validation of indicators of school climate for violence prevention through analysis of international literature on school violence prevention and school climate.
