The OECD Education 2030 project (OECD Future
of Education and Skills 2030) produced the report
“Learning Compass 2030” containing the results of
the first-year research. The report identified student
competencies that are necessary for the future and
gave suggestions on the content of education. The
second-year study focused on the methodology of
teaching and learning specifically by exploring ways
to foster the competencies identified in “Learning
Compass 2030”. This research participated in the
Phase II study of OECD Education 2030 to define the
role of teachers in delivering competency education
and to identify necessary teacher competencies.
