As the fifth-year study of the second cycle of
education longitudinal study on youth with North
Korean background, this study analyzed how
the youth with North Korean background adapt
to Korean society and explored the meaning of
adaptation in terms of educational development. For
this purpose, the issues they face in the process of
adapting to South Korean society and schools, and
their adaptive patterns, were analyzed to provide
suggestions for improvement.
