A Study on Analysis and Improvement of University Lifelong Learning for Human New Deal
This study is to analyze the current status of university lifelong learning in terms of human new deal and to propose policy measures for promoting the quality of life and employability of adult learners.
The study is based upon a variety of analyses and surveys including current policies and case studies on university lifelong learning within government offices and local authorities in the nation, case study of policies related with university lifelong learning in overseas, surveys with participants and university staffs, and interviews with experts. The subjects of study are as follows.
?First, the study assessed how policies for university lifelong learning have changed as higher education has introduced in Korea and what the outcomes have been so far. Second, the study provided implications by analyzing policies for university lifelong learning in terms of human new deal in the United States, Finland and Australia. Third, the study examined the current status of university lifelong learning by analyzing the related domestic data such as university information disclosure and also analyzed the cases of university lifelong learning operated by the cooperation between university and local community. Fourth, the study surveyed relevant staffs and adult learners about the awareness and demands on university lifelong learning and also assessed the current university lifelong learning with experts. Fifth, the study analyzed the effect of participating in university lifelong learning in terms of human new deal by evaluating participants' data.
