A study of exploring improvement scheme to solidify connectivity

between student selection and curriculum implementation of gifted schools in Korea



The purpose of the study is to present schemes to enhance the connectivity of the student selection and school curriculum of the gifted school to strengthen the innate purpose of the education for the gifted by analyzing whether the current student selection and school curriculum of the gifted school is reasonably working in light of the initial education purpose and ideology of gifted education, particularly from the point of view for connectivity.

For this purpose, the education status provided by each of the gifted school is analyzed on the basis of the background and purpose of founding the gifted school, and compare and analyze the three analysis elements of feasibility, fairness, and specificity to confirm the connectivity of the student selection and school curriculum for each element. In addition, on the basis of the analysis result for each of the elements, the pertinent issues that interfered with the connectivity of the student selection and school curriculum of the gifted school and sought the schemes to enhance the connectivity in each aspect.
