Parents' School Engagement: Its Status and Policy Recommendations
This research explores the ways in which transform parents’ excessive and selfishly-motivated involvement in their children's education toward more positive and constructive direction such as “school engagement program.” As such, this research analyzes the patterns of parental engagement in schools. Two research methods are employed for data collection: first, surveys are conducted from around 9,000 parents and 2,000 teachers, respectively; and interviews are given parents and teachers interviews from 2 elementary schools and at 2 middle schools.
