Appointment of the New President of KEDI

Dr. Sun-Geun Baek, a professor at Seoul National University, has been appointed as the new president of Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) on December 28, 2012. As president, he will be holding office for three years followed by the successfully-completed presidential term of Dr. Tae-Wan Kim, a former president of KEDI.

Dr. Baek was trained at Seoul National University earning his B.A and M.A in education and received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, U.S.A. He served as Planning Director at Seoul National University and Secretary General at the Korean Association of Academic Societies. He is currently holding multiple appointments including a Chair of the Presidential Council for Future & Vision and a President of the Korean Society for Educational Evaluation.
