This study aims to support the development and usage of education statistics and indicators in developing countries and to build associated capacity based on South Korea’s experience and expertise. This study is a long-term project that will be completed in 2025. The first phase was conducted from 2017 to 2019 in Mongolia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka and the second phase is now ongoing from 2020 to 2022 with Cambodia, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan. In 2021, the study aims to diagnose the status and level of education statistics and indicators, and analyze the important issues and propose suggestions for improvement based on collected data in these selected countries. In addition, the strategies and measures to support future development cooperation in education statistics and indicators will be provided.
