A Study for Innovation of the Human Resources Statistics (Ⅲ): Improving the Statistical System on S&T Talent in Korea

This study aims to specify future actions to improve our statistical system on S&T talent as analyzing its overall current situations. Twenty nine statistical surveys that can produce information relating to S&T talent are analyzed. The framework of analysis consists of three parts: 'Content', 'Production' and 'Management'. In the Content part, we try to verify if the current statistical system can generate enough statistical information for S&T talent from education stage to labor market stage. In the Production part, we investigate the overall production process of S&T-talent statistical information in terms of production capacity, supply system and quality control. In the Management part, we mainly focus on the infra system including coordination system among statistics-production organization, use of database and its connection, and related regulations, which facilitates production and utilization of S&T-talent statistical information.
