Analysis of the Effects of the Policy of Integrating and Abolishing Small Schools in Rural Areas
This study examines the effects of the policy of integrating and abolishing small schools in rural areas implemented by the government since 1982 at the educational and economic level, as well as in wider terms such as with regards to the changes in regional populations and in the lifestyle of the residents. In addition, by analyzing the criteria for integration or abolition, problems related to the process thereof, and the current state and improvements made in terms of school management following integration or abolition, this study seeks to establish measures to effectively implement the integration and abolition of small schools.
