A Study for Exploring the Actual Conditions and the Efficiency Plans of Education Welfare Investment



Recently, ‘safety and welfare’ has been a contemporary issue of the Korean society. Such an emphasis is no exception in the field of education. Since 2011, many concerns have been raised because increases of universal welfare investment led to the decreases of education welfare investment for the socially disadvantaged. In the current situation, this study tried to answer the questions how the actual conditions of education welfare investment are in terms of total expenditure and distribution ratio during recent three years (2011~2013) and how much the current education welfare policies are in accord with teachers’ and parents’ welfare demand.

As a basic step’s research, this study attempted to analyze actual conditions of education welfare in order to fulfill suitable education welfare in Korean society and to investigate teachers’ and parents’ priority among education welfare policies. Therefore, this study has the final purpose to suggest efficiency plans of Korean education welfare investment.
