Research on Education Development Cooperation for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

Action strategies in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET)



In the wake of the advent of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), the international society has made enormous efforts to set up goals and indicators for the implementation of SDGs with execution strategies at a national, regional and global level. With the national task of the enhancement of economic diplomacy and development cooperation that promote national interests, development cooperation strategies of Korea have been reorganized in a way to enhance effectiveness and efficiency while emphasizing co-living of donors and recipients. In consideration of national and international trends as mentioned above, it is necessary to establish execution strategies for development cooperation in education aiming to fulfill SDG education targets. This research is a mid-term task to be accomplished throughout 5 years to come: this is aimed to conduct in-depth analysis on targets and action plans of SDGs in education, and to come up with execution strategies for development cooperation in education, ultimately reaching to the point where the strategies are practically used for development and implementation of development cooperation programs and projects in education.
