* Objectives : To contribute toward educational development in developing countries through demonstrating eight remarkable Korean educational policies which have made a great effort to national development
* Contents :
> Lectures
- Based on the series of `Understanding Korean Educational Policy`
1. National Development Strategy and Education Policy
2. Universalization of Elementary and Secondary Education
3. Universalization of Tertiary Education
4. Informatization of Education: ICT use in Education
5. Industrialization and Vocational Education Training
6. Efficient Management of Educational Finance
7. Curriculum and Textbook Policy
8. Teacher Policy: Procurement and Disposition of qualitative Teachers
> Presentation and Discussion
- As a wrap-up session for each lecture, participants should present their own countries` `Action Plans` to share their policy objectives and future challenges
> Field Trips
- To visit Government`s Educational Research Institutions such as Korean Educational Development Institution(KEDI), Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE), Korea Research Institutes for Vocational Education & Training(KRIVET), etc as well as educational fields including public/private schools and universities
* Qualifications of Applicants
> Participants should:
- Be currently engaged in educational policy making in the Ministry of Education or relevant organizations
- At least 5 years of working experience in educational policy making
- Have sufficient commands of both spoken and written English
- Not have participated in the same KOICA training program during the past three (3) years
