On 27 April - 5 May, 2008, Study tour on Korean Education Policy for Mongolia was held in Seoul, Korea. This study tour was organized by Korean Educational Development Institute and sponsored by Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia. This study tour was aimed to learn Korean education experience in 12 year schooling system and 6 year old children enrollment, since Mongolian Secondary education system is being reassigned into 12-year schooling system by the first of September, 2008.
For this program, four lectures on "School Facilities: Development stages, current status, changes, and improvements" "Structure and Quality Management of Korean Teachers", "Features and Important Issues of Integrated Curriculum for 1st and 2nd grade of Elementary School" and "Development and Distribution of Elementary School Textbook. " were provided to enhance the understanding of Korean Education Policy for the participants.
Also, this study tour opened opportunities for the participants to visit and experience EBS, DunChon Elementary School, HanSan Middle School, Seoul National University of Education, Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE), Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS), SunRin Internet High School, Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, Kyunggi Kajwa Elementary School, Kyunggido Goyang Office of Education, SangMyung Elementary School, and Korea University. Moreover, the participants had chances to experience Korean cultures through various cultural visits.
