Education Planning and Implementation for Mongolia

Korean Educational Development Institute trained 15 Mongolian educational administrators focusing on distance learning and cyber educational system based on the lifelong learning from June 6th to 21st, 2006. This course was supported by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and designed for the participants to: establish mid-and long-term plan to formulate Distance Learning System of Mongolia; establish attainable educational plan which would reflect the national policy of Mongolian Distance Learning System.

The program consisted of three main components; Program Orientation, Professional Components, and Study Visits and 3-day Field Trip. All participants expended their knowledge on the field of distance learning and lifelong learning. Moreover, participants had valuable experiences of Korean culture through a field trip to Gyeongju and Pohang. Also participants had a special chance to visit Handong Global University and have built a great relationship with the professors and students of HGU.

As a second round of training course, it was very successful and KEDI and KOICA were able to see remarkable progresses of Mongolian education.
