The International Conference on sixty years of Korean Education was held in the KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea on June 13-14, 2005. The international conference hosted by Korean Ministry of Education and HRD, organized by Korean Educational Development Institute(KEDI) & Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation(KICE), and sponsored by OECD, World Bank, Korean Society for the Study of Education.
The Conference began with participants identifying and celebrating the achievements of Korean Education. On the second day, participants conducted an international comparative analysis in order to understand the uniqueness and problematic opportunities facing the development of Korean education while considering new challenges of the future.
The Conference was a great success in formulating a future policy framework for Korean education.
