KEDI-WorldBank Seminar on Financing Reforms for Tertiary Education in the Knowledge Economy
The Korean Educational Development Institute and World Bank hosted an international forum, sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education and HRD and Korea Development Institute, on “Financing Reforms for Tertiary Education in the Knowledge Economy” at the Seoul Education and Culture Center.

KEDI recognized the fact that securing funding for higher education poses a major national challenge not only to Korea, but also to advanced and developing countries worldwide. The forum achieved its goal to get to the root of the problem by assessing the current finances of Korea’s higher education and came up with breakthrough measures for acquiring funding and extracting higher financial efficiency from higher education by exchanging information and experiences between Korea and other major countries in securing funding, disseminating successful methods, and improving the management system of higher education.
