KEDI successfully organized the Pacific Circle Consortium 26th Annual Conference during May 1-3, 2002 with the sponsorship of OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation, Under the theme of Diversity and Unity in Schooling for Future Citizens in the Pacific-Asian Region, 95 participants from 16 countries attended the Conference.
This Conference offered the participants great chances to share their views on variety of issues such as education reform, curriculum innovation, lifelong education, and citizenship education. The presentations and discussions during the conference contributed to the improvement of teaching and researching in the Pacific-Asian regions. International guest speakers included Prof. Carol Mutch from Christchurch College of Education, New Zealand, Dr. David Istance from OECD/Centre for Education Research and Innovation, Prof. Kim, Shinil from Seoul National University, and many other internationally well-known experts from universities, educational agencies, and schools of the region.
