Dr. Tae-Wan Kim, a professor of Keimyung University was newly appointed as the president of the Korean Educational Development Institute on October 30, 2009. As president, he will be holding office for three years.

Dr. Tae-Wan Kim is one of the most highly active and renowned scholars in the field of educational administration. He earned both his B.A. and M.A. in education from Seoul National University. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Previously, he was a teacher at Sangincheon Middle School, the president of Korean Society for the Politics of Education, a member of the Presidential Commission on Educational Reform, and the president of the Korean Society for the Economics and Finance of Education. He is currently the head director of the Korean Science & Education Network, the chairman of Policy Advisory Committee for School Autonomy of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the chairman of the Committee on University Enhancement.
