Korean Educational Development Institute will be hosting 2004 KEDI-World Bank International Seminar on Balanced Regional Development and the Role of Tertiary Education in Korea during Feb. 23 - 26, 2004 at Handong Global University in Pohang, Korea. This seminar is sponsored by World Bank, Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development(MoEHRD), and Handong Global University.
In this seminar, 14 speakers from World Bank, OECD, Cambirdge of UK, Japan, China, Mexico, Russia, and Korea will deliver the national cases of regional development and discuss the industry-university partnership and the role of government (implications for financing and governance of local universities) with 30 more participants from these countries including director-general of the universities in Korea.
